    Coalitions in Cooperative Wireless Networks

    Cooperation between rational users in wireless networks is studied using coalitional game theory. Using the rate achieved by a user as its utility, it is shown that the stable coalition structure, i.e., set of coalitions from which users have no incentives to defect, depends on the manner in which the rate gains are apportioned among the cooperating users. Specifically, the stability of the grand coalition (GC), i.e., the coalition of all users, is studied. Transmitter and receiver cooperation in an interference channel (IC) are studied as illustrative cooperative models to determine the stable coalitions for both flexible (transferable) and fixed (non-transferable) apportioning schemes. It is shown that the stable sum-rate optimal coalition when only receivers cooperate by jointly decoding (transferable) is the GC. The stability of the GC depends on the detector when receivers cooperate using linear multiuser detectors (non-transferable). Transmitter cooperation is studied assuming that all receivers cooperate perfectly and that users outside a coalition act as jammers. The stability of the GC is studied for both the case of perfectly cooperating transmitters (transferrable) and under a partial decode-and-forward strategy (non-transferable).     Agricultural Marketing and Inclusive Growth in India What does the Survey Data Suggest? The Case of Two Villages in Medak District of Telangana State

    This paper is an attempt to study the role of agricultural marketing in impacting the small and large farmers in rural Telangana in terms of their participation in selling activities, obtaining  remunerative prices, and the problems relating transport of their produce and finally the impact on their economic well being. Our empirical analysis based on primary as well as secondary data suggests that in spite of limited knowledge about the usefulness and functioning of regulated agricultural marketing practices the small and marginal farmers of the study area have been benefited due to better prices and other market related facilities. The study uses the logit model to discern the impact of various socio economic  variables on the decision of sample farmers to participate in the regulated market practices which help the small and marginal farmers in improving their economic well being and thus pave the way for them to be included in the growth process. However, there is a need to do a lot to derive more and tangible benefits through regulated markets in rural Telangana.     Aim: This paper mainly focused on proposing a new pharmaceutical supply chain management system based on block chain technology.    Results: A seven steps pharmaceutical supply chain management is designed based on blockchain technology.     Adenoviral oncoprotein E1B55K mediates colocalization of SSBP2 and PML in response to stress

    Transient expression of adenoviral oncoprotein E1B55K in normal cells induces aggresome formation and sequestration of critical host proteins in aggresomes. Our previous studies reported that Sequence Specific Binding Protein 2 (SSBP2), a candidate tumor suppressor is recruited to aggresomes in adenovirally transformed human embryonal kidney 293 (HEK293) cells. To understand the extent and significance of the E1B55K-SSBP2 interactions in these cells, we have examined SSBP2 localization under conditions of stress in HEK293 cells. SSBP2 localizes to PML- Nuclear Bodies (PML-NBs) in response to inhibition of nuclear export, treatment with etoposide, hydroxyurea or gamma irradiation only in HEK293 cells. Furthermore, the PML-NBs grow in size and number in response to radiation over a 24 hour period in HEK293 cells analogous to previous findings for other cell types. Nonetheless, we conclude that E1B55K subverts SSBP2 function in HEK293 cells. These findings demonstrate the limitations in using HEK293 cells to study DNA damage response and other cellular processes since SSBP2 and similar regulatory proteins are aberrantly localized due to constitutive E1B55K expression

    Background: Obesity is a state of excess adipose tissue mass. Body mass index (BMI) is a crucial predictor of nutritional status of pregnant women. High BMI may lead to various adverse maternal and perinatal outcomes. This study is designed to see the effect of maternal BMI on pregnancy outcome and perinatal outcome according to Asian standards.Methods: This is an institutional retrospective, descriptive study of 100 pregnant women conducted in the department of obstetrics and gynaecology of a rural tertiary centre Dr. PSIMS and RF, Chinaoutpalli, Gannavaram, Vijayawada, AP, India from June 2017 to July 2019.Results: It was observed that as BMI increased risk of complications increased like hypertension disorders in pregnancy, gestational diabetes mellitus, preterm labour. Also risk of macrosomia, operative delivery, Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) admissions increased.Conclusions: As maternal BMI is a good predictor has strong correlation with pregnancy complications and outcomes, measures should be taken to motivate for pre pregnancy counselling regarding weight management and close surveillance in antenatal period to diagnose at the earliest any complications

    The advantages of peer-to-peer (P2P) technology are innumerable when compared to other systems like Distributed Messaging System, Client-Server model, Cloud based systems. The vital advantages are not limited to high scalability and low cost. On the other hand the p2p system suffers from a bottle-neck problem caused by topology mismatch. Topology mismatch occurs in an unstructured peer-to-peer (P2P) network when the peers participating in the communication choose their neighbors in random fashion, such that the resultant P2P network mismatches its underlying physical network, resulting in a lengthy communication between the peers and redundant network traffics generated in the underlying network[1] However, most P2P system performance suffers from the mismatch between the overlays topology and the underlying physical network topology, causing a large volume of redundant traffic in the Internet slowing the performance.     Phyto Pharmacognostic Study of Lagerstroemia speciosa - An Analytical Study

    Lagerstroemia speciosa (L.) Pers (Hindi - Jarul, Taglog - Banaba) a member of Lythraceae family is found all over India, specially in Bengal, Assam and Deccan Peninsula. The leaves of L. speciosa is widely used for lowering blood sugar levels in Philippines, Japan and Taiwan. Pharmacognostical investigation of leaves of L. speciosa was done by evaluating its morphological, microscopical studies, Physicochemical and phytochemical parameters. Rasa Nirdharana was done. Microscopical study revealed presence of epidermal cells contained clusters of rosette aggregate calcium oxalate crystals and few cells were mucilaginous. Lower epidermis showed the presence of anomocytic stomata. Physical constants of leaf powder showed, loss on drying - 3.8%, total ash - 6.7%, acid insoluble ash - 1.039%, water soluble extractive value - 8.88%, alcohol soluble extractive value - 4.49% and pH - 5.75. Preliminary phytochemical study revealed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, triterpenes, tannins, proteins and iron. Rasa Nirdharana confirmed the leaves are Kashaya in Rasa. The Pharmacognostical study was useful for authentication of leaves of Lagerstoemia speciosa

    Solitary Mandibular Lesion as the Presenting Sign of Multiple Myeloma: A Rare Case Report

    Multiple myeloma (MM) is a rare hematological malignancy caused by monoclonal proliferation of plasma cells in the marrow of various bones. It is more common in men in the sixth and seventh decade of life. Patients usually present with bone pain, fatigue, recurrent infections, renal failure and nervous system dysfunction. Rarely, oral lesions may be the initial sign of multiple myeloma presenting with pain, jaw swelling, tooth mobility, multiple punched out radiolucencies and parasthesia. A case of multiple myeloma occurring in a 71 year old male patient who presented with a solitary lesion in the mandible is presented here. This paper highlights the importance of knowing oral manifestations of multiple myeloma and interdisciplinary approach required for early diagnosis
